Rudolfov - following the traces of silver mines

The next route we bring you will be completed again on foot. It runs mostly on paved and asphalt roads and good news for young parents, except for short sections the route is passable even for baby strollers. The nature trail has two circuits of 4.5 km long marked with unusual symbols of crossed instruments starting to appear already at the terminus of the city bus No.1 at the church in Rudolfov. A total of 19 clearly arranged panels of the nature trail introduce us mainly to the history of the town closely connected with silver mining.
The second route winds along the hillside of the Rudolfovský brook valley, towards the Mrhal pond. Its construction dates back to 1555, when it was built as a water reservoir to power mining machines. But that history is long gone, and today this place is widely sought after for its uniquely clear water for summer fun or fishing.
