Contemporary Art Gallery

The Art House in Přemysl Otakar II Square in České Budějovice is the seat of the Contemporary Art Gallery. The art gallery is managed by the Culture and Tourism Department of the České Budějovice Municipal Authority. Every year, the art gallery prepares exhibitions of works from the most interesting domestic and international artists. The latter typically make their first appearance not only in the Czech Republic but in Eastern Europe in general. The space is also dedicated to interesting young artists. It is neither a commercial art gallery nor a collection. Thanks to its consistent work, the Art House currently ranks among the best art venues in the Czech Republic. České Budějovice has thus entered international awareness as not only a city brewing excellent beer but also an outstanding place in the cultural field. Exhibitions are presented in five rooms on the second floor with a combined area of 150 m². It is open daily except Mondays.
