Budějčák is back! Available in a can and on tap.
14. 7. 2026
Summer in Budějovice tastes of beer. And not just any old beer. A limited batch of Budějčák – a 11° lager – has once again been bottled. It was created as part of the promotion of the Budějovicko Beer Trail. This year, it’s also been produced in collaboration with the new Habakuk Brewery in Kaplice.
Budějčák is brewed only in limited quantities – this year, just 400 litres were produced, of which only 100 litres in cans feature a collector’s label. So if you want to get your hands on one, don’t wait too long.
Where can you get it? From 16 July at the České Budějovice Information Centre, at Galerie Panská 1, or on tap at the Kampa student club on the University of South Bohemia campus.
This year’s can is adorned with an original illustration by the České Budějovice-based artist Daniela Hromada. Her painting, based on the label, will subsequently be auctioned off at a charity auction in aid of the Ledax Home Hospice.
And what if you don’t get a chance to try Budějčák? Never mind. The Budějovicko Beer Trail connects 11 breweries, so there’s certainly no shortage of great beer in the region.
