Repair of Samson Fountain on Přemysl Otakar II Square

From February 24 to May 16, 2025, planned repairs will be carried out on the dominant feature of České Budějovice's main square - the baroque Samson Fountain. During the reconstruction, the fountain will be out of operation and covered with a protective structure. The repair of this significant monument is essential to preserve its historical value. Visitors to the city must take into account that during this period, they will not see the fountain in its full beauty. Nevertheless, Přemysl Otakar II Square with its historical houses and Black Tower remains an impressive place to visit. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to everyone being able to admire this baroque gem in its full glory again from mid-May.
